With the chill of winter upon us, there’s no better way to add some warmth than with this spiced cranberry ginger hot beverage perfection.  It’s warm, festive, and delicious!


Fresh ginger – 0.2 inches, thinly sliced

1 teaspoon fresh lemon or lime juice (save a few slices for garnish)

1 cup fresh cranberries (3/4 cup add to boiling water; save ¼ cup for garnish)

1 cinnamon stick

1-1/2 cups water

Sweetener of choice (stevia is recommended)


Boil water in saucepan.

Add ginger, lemon or lime juice, 3/4 cup cranberries, cinnamon stick, and stevia to water.

Continue to gently boil for 5  minutes allowing the flavors to marry.

Pour hot liquid  in large mug.  Add remaining ¼ cup cranberries just before serving and garnish with lemon or lime slices and cinnamon stick.
