As mentioned in some of our previous blogs, healthy fats are where it’s at nutritionally speaking, such as those found in avocados, organic pastured egg yolks, raw nuts and seeds, unheated organic nut oils, and coconuts and coconut oil.  Today, we’d like to share one of our favorite healthy shake recipes, which contains an abundance of these delicious healthy fats.  This is not just your every day, average protein shake, but a complete meal that will keep you satisfied for hours.   Delish!!

Awesome Chocolate Bliss Shake



1 cup of unsweetened almond or coconut milk

1-2 tablespoons raw cacao powder

3-4 tablespoons of nut butters or oils (almond butter, cashew butter, hazelnut butter, coconut oil, macadamia nut oil, etc.)

1 scoop (equivalent to 2 tablespoons) of protein powder of your choice (hemp, rice, pea starch, whey, or egg-based)

1 tablespoon ground flax seeds

1 teaspoon chia seeds

1 small frozen banana or ½ cup of frozen berries of your choice

4 drops of liquid stevia (suggest cinnamon or toffee flavor – optional)

½ teaspoon of ground cinnamon

1 teaspoon spirulina or green powder product of your choice  (optional)

Mix all ingredients together in a blender and blend to a smooth consistency.
